September is Carpenter Reads month!

SEPTEMBER 15-28, 2017

Carpenter Reads is a month dedicated to encouraging children’s love of reading -
and raising money for Parents for Carpenter at the same time.

Register your child for the Read-A-Thon

September 15           Read-A-Thon begins

September 22           Pajama Party

September 28           Read-A-Thon ends

The 3rd annual READ-A-THON is a great way to foster a love of reading - while raising money for Parents for Carpenter.

Register your child(ren) to participate in our fantastic new reading time tracking tool, www.CarpenterReads.com.

Every child who logs Read-A-Thon minutes will receive a reading medal. The class with the highest percentage of Read-a-Thon participants will receive a California Pizza Kitchen pizza party, so be sure to support your teacher! More info on prizes and rules below.

Be sure to check our Facebook page during September for ideas on how to promote the Read-A-Thon - both with your children, and donors!

Reading Pajama Party

The Pajama Party gets better every year so be sure to mark your calendar for September 22nd! Wear your PJs and get there early to see Principal Martinez read his favorite book at 4:30pm.

Activities include:

  • Children’s authors read their books and answer questions
  • Hands-on fun at dedicated activity studios
  • Read to rabbits in science lab at the popular Books and Bunnies
  • Find out if you’re a lucky winner - 10 amazing baskets will be raffled off so don’t forget your tickets.
  • Eat your heart out - choose from 5th Grade pizza, and more delicious food from our local business supporters (PIE)

Sign up to volunteer at the Pajama Party.

Support Carpenter's enrichment programs by sponsoring your readers by the pages or minutes they read or with a flat donation amount for the entire reading period. Ask friends and family to donate too (grandparents love to support and sponsor reading):
